What is precisely the DELE Escolares?

The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera para escolares (DELE Escolares) are the official diplomas for Spanish as a foreign language administered by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The DELE Escolares exams are aimed at young students between 11 and 17 years old  regardless of their nationality or origin , and are designed to the guidelines laid down in the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR) levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2

Instituto Cervantes offers two Spanish DELE exams for students : DELE Escolar A1 exam (DELE A1 exam for young student)  and DELE Escolar A2 / B1 exam (DELE  A2 / B1 exam for young student)

The advantages of taking the DELE Escolar A1 exam

-It is an official certification that complies with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

-It certifies and assesses knowledge of Spanish from the first moment of contact with the language.

-It is valid indefinitely.

-It motivates students between 11 and 17 years old, because it is both a challenge and offers recognition of their learning at these early stages.

The advantages of taking the DELE Escolar A2/B1 exam

It offers candidates the possibility to obtain either the DELE Escolar level A2 or B1, depending on their results. In other words, it is possible to qualify for one of two levels of reference by taking a single exam.

So, parents are enjoined to avail their ward(s) of this opportunity to add another language to their repertoire of languages.Students from outside the school can also join the programme. Interested parents can contact the school for more information
